Welcome to Year 6’s class blog!

welcomeThis is where we will be sharing some of our class work, pictures, activities and upcoming class events.

Our class blog will provide our children with a real audience and purpose for writing. Sometimes we might have a writing challenge or a reading challenge on the blog. You might even win a prize for your efforts.

Please feel free to comment and give us feedback on any of our posts.

Your comments will be monitored before going live and then will  be shared with the children.

Viking Homework 6M & 6H

You are tasked with designing and creating a piece of weaponry – shield, axe, sword, etc. Large cardboard from your local Co-op, Spar or supermarket would be perfect! Sticking a few back to back to make your piece rigid and painting (or if you don’t have paints, waiting to return to school to paint) your weaponry to decorate. We will be hosting a Year 6 Viking battle in school next term and be given an opportunity to create weaponry in school also – lets ‘Go Viking’!
