Today, St Mary’s children have been treated to a fantastic pantomime ‘ The Wizard of Oz’ by the excellent theatre company, Takeaway Theatre Company. Did they have fun joining in? Oh yes they did!
Today 30 children from Years 4, 5 and 6 visited Ladybridge Primary School where Children’s Laureate, Chris Riddell, told us about his stories and illustrations. The artwork he produced was amazing and the children were enthralled throughout. He was even kind enough to sign some of the children’s copies of his books.
This morning, St Mary’s children were treated to a fantastic performance of Wind in the Willows by the Takeaway Theatre Company. The children had a great time singing, clapping and laughing at all of Toad’s silly antics.
St Mary’s children had the privilege of being entertained by Punch and Judy this afternoon. The children got to join in shouting when Mr Punch did something wrong; it was hilarious. The children also learned how the puppets were made and found out about the history of Punch and Judy.
It is professionals’ week this week at St Mary’s. Lofty the lion visited some of the classes and the children were very excited.
